The Tambourenverein Amt Entlebuch was founded in 1992. The association promotes drumming, particularly among schoolchildren, and supports them in close co-operation with the local music schools. The tambourines are currently available to support the 11 affiliated music clubs in the Entlebuch district at their events, especially at music performances. The tambourines also perform at their concerts on a rotational basis. For several years now, the tambourines from Entlebuch have also supported the Wädenswil music society, which accompanies the "Zunft zu den drei Königen" guild in the traditional "Sächseläuten" parade in Zurich.
To mark its 30th anniversary, Schlebach AG was able to build seven new thin-walled wooden drums for Tambouren Entlebuch.
