The Rhone section was founded in 1930 as an association of tambourines and pipers from the three Valais municipalities of Lalden, Eyholz and Baltschieder. In its long history, the Rhone section has celebrated many successes. Among other things, it has been Swiss champion in the tambourine/natural warm-up section category six times in a row and was part of the cast at the 10th anniversary of the Basel Tattoo in 2015, where they performed with their historical uniforms of the Valais military musicians of the Valais militia of 1817.
After Schlebach AG equipped the Rhone section's drummers with customised wooden drums in 2014, we were able to completely refurbish their club drums for the Rhone section's performance at the Basel Tattoo in 2015.
