The cadets existed before the Wädenswil Drum Corps was founded. As membership of the cadets ended at the age of 20, some of the tambourines from the cadet corps founded the Wädenswil Tambourine Association in 1962. At the beginning of the 1960s, there was also a strong piper formation alongside the tambourines, which disbanded in the mid-1960s due to members moving away and professional commitments. As a result, the activities of the tambourines also declined considerably and were mainly limited to performances at carnivals. Today, the Wädenswil Tambour Club is one of the largest clubs in the Eastern Switzerland Tambour Association and also regularly takes part in the various tambour and piper festivals.
Schlebach AG is pleased that we were able to deliver 20 new thin-walled wooden drums to the Wädenswil drum club in 2021.
