According to its own information, Trommelgroep West-Nederland specialises in one of the most elaborate, visually appealing and interesting drumming techniques in the world, the Swiss Basler drumming. They regularly take part in tattoos, parades and processions, but are also members of the Swiss Drum and Pipe Association and regularly take part in the various drum and pipe festivals in Switzerland. Members of Trommelgroep West-Nederland can also be seen parading at the Basel Carnival.
In 2016, Schlebach AG had the honour of building 10 new thin-walled wooden drums for the tambourines from the Netherlands at the Federal Drum and Pipe Festival in Bulle.
