In the year 2000, the shoemakers' guild celebrated its 750th anniversary, as the shoemakers had already formed a closed association in 1250. The origins of the guild music of the E.E. Zunft zu Schuhmachern go back to the early 1950s. However, it was not until the early 1970s that a drum group was formed. This could be described as the actual forerunner of the guild game. And the first six pipers were accepted as early as 1975. In the years that followed, the group of pipers and drummers grew into a guild band that now consists of around 30 pipers and drummers.
From 2008-2014, Schlebach AG was authorised to build a total of 9 guild drums, including painting, for the E.E. Zunft zu Schuhmachern.
