The Rätz clique from Kleinbasel was founded in 1923 from the so-called working-class milieu. Today, the socially and politically mixed family clique offers its members a varied clique life with sporting and cultural events in addition to drumming and whistling together. The highlight of the approximately 100 active carnival participants in the parent club and around 400 club members is undoubtedly the Basel Carnival, which they always enrich with creative and socially critical subjects.
For its 100th anniversary in 2023, Schlebach AG was able to build 45 new thin-walled wooden drums for the Rätz-Clique tambourines. Numerous drummers actively helped with the production of their drums for this major project and the employees of Schlebach AG really enjoyed this collaboration.
