The Lälli carnival society was founded in 1902. As one of the oldest carnival cliques in Basel, Lälli decided to create the Lälli drum to mark its 100th anniversary. The characteristic dark red with olive green circles has since become an integral part of our identity. As a family clique, the Lälli clique has been committed to training the next generation for over 100 years. With the oldest male guard in the city, we are delighted to welcome new members to our association every year.
