After finishing his carpentry apprenticeship in 2009 and completing military training as a military drummer, Stefan Freiermuth started his career as drum maker with Schlebach AG. Born in Zeiningen, Stefan started drumming in 1997 and in Ivan Kym had an excellent teacher, as impressively confirmed by the long list of his successes. Today the champion drummer serves as board member of his drum corps “Fasnachtszunft Ryburg” and participates in the carnival in Basel as an active drummer of the Chriesibuebe. Since 2005 he has also acted as drum instructor for junior drummers in his drum corps and since 2010 as a judge at drum competitions of the Swiss Drum and Fife Association (Judge Training Course STPV). His military service he nowadays completes as technical instructor of the military drummers. Finally, for several years now you can find Stefan Freiermuth as a camp leader at holiday camps organized for junior drummers by the Drum Association.

Pascal Kottmann started his drumming career with the “Fasnachtsgesellschaft Aagfrässene” in 1978 with whom he also participated at the carnival in Basel for several years. After a temporary stay with the “Ueli” the qualified graphic designer nowadays drums with the "Hörnli" Pascal is not only known as instructor of various Drum Corps, but also as a Lantern and Mask Artist for the Basel Carnival, as well as winning artist to produce the Carnival Badge (“Plakette”) in 2007, 2008, 2010 and 2014. He won the group competition at the “Official Price Drumming Competition of Basel” together with Pascal Caviezel and Daniel Laufer and later on acted as a judge at the same event for several years.
Marc Hutter

From 1990 Marc drummed with the Tambour und Pfeiferverein Sektion Rhone in the Valais, acting as musical director from 2010 to 2015. The highlight of his directorship was the group’s participation in the Basel Tattoo’s 10th anniversary in 2015, where Marc was able to draw on all his experience as a drummer in the Swiss Army. Marc achieved his first success at the highest level of competition as a member of the drum section of the TPV Brig-Glis. From 2010 to 2017, he was a member of the Technical Commission of the Upper Valais Drumming and Piping Bands, acting as a judge in various competitions. Since 2010 Marc has been drumming with the Chriesibuebe at the Basel Fasnacht. He performs regularly at the Pfyfferli pre-carnival event and is a member of the Museumskonzärtli Group. Marc moved to Basel in 2015. Since 2016, he has competed in the Swiss Federal Drum and Piping Festival with the Fasnachtzunft Ryburg, winning the Swiss Masters title with the group at the 2018 festival in Bulle. He has featured in the finals of the Swiss Federal Drum and Piping Festival several times, as well as in the finals of the Basel Offiziells prize drumming competition, where he won the group category in 2018 together with Fabian Egger and Stefan Freiermuth. Marc has helped out at Schlebach AG from time to time for several years. On 1 July 2018 he joined the company officially from UBS Switzerland AG, where he was in charge of corporate clients. Marc is now an integral part of our Schlebach team.
